Dubnova Natalia Наталья Дубнова Valery Dobritskiy Валерий Добрицкий 42 №2 7) immediate social services The above listed help provided by the following social service agencies in St. Petersburg: at the city level: Center of assistance for family and children; Informational and methodical center «Family»; Boarding houses for children with mental retardation – 4; Crisis center for women; Social shelters for children – 2; Social rehabilitation center for the underage «Transit». at the district level: Centers of social assistance for family and children – 16; Social rehabilitation centers for the teenagers – 7; Social rehabilitation centers for invalids and disabled children – 15; Complex centers of social service for population— departments for work with families and children have been opened in 5 centers; Centers for orphans and children without parental care – 16 [2]. The main tasks of the social relief Center for families and children:  detection and records of families with children , teenagers and those who need social support in a difficult living situation (a social hazard situation);  social relief and support of families with children in resolution of social, psychological, pedagogical and household problems;  presentation of different social services types for families with children, women, the underage, who are in need of social relief;  participation in work for prevention of the underage’s neglect, protection of their laws and legitimate interests;  rendering a relief for women who are undergone with the psychophysical violence;  assistance in reinforcement of families, increasing its parenting potential. For achieving of the above listed tasks, the Center of social support for families and children has implemented the following work methods:  Informative and educational work with population;  Emergency phone psychological assistance for the teenagers and their parents;  Support in a crisis situation solution via online service «Friendship assistance» for families and children;  The online service «Responses for citizens’ questions»;  Organization of a free time for teenagers in sections and interest clubs created in the Center;
