Время науки The Times of Science 71 2014 people. Nowadays, foreign language education in Vietnam has both strong and weak points which need to be worked on. Therefore there are several points in the article. Firstly, we’d like to mention the problem of creation of a multilingual country. Due to historical circumstances a great number of countries in the world can use some languages such as Belgium, Switzerland; Canada…With a population of several million people, Switzerland was separated into German, French, Italian or Romansh area. This requires authorities’ understanding of the language, culture and customs of each region. Both executive and federal administration minds it. As for people, language differences force them learning to be able to speak with other regions. Once language is not a barrier anymore, it will lead to cooperation, to economic development. Moreover, when reaching out to international relations, thanks to the advantage of knowing a language, it is easier to set up exchanges with other countries speaking the language. This also has an additional advantage, when citizens go travelling; they are not shocked by a language barrier. Some countries in Africa formerly were colonized by Britain and France as well as India in Asia used to be a colony of Britain, so they maintain English or French as a common language between different ethnics. Many countries in the world understand the importance of having a good command of a foreign language, and as a result the latter is actively applied to the primary education program. Parents can choose schools where their children will be taught in English or French. For example, in Lebanon, due to educational policy pupils can speak 3 different languages such as Arabic, French and English. From the practical perspective applied in Vietnam, including a language into the educational programs of a primary school means general knowledge standard, not a priority for the family with better economic conditions or for those who work in the field of international relations. The problem is using a language to study specific knowledge rather than merely learning a new language. Investments are necessary. Instead of investing in teaching pupils abroad which is very expensive and only few are capable to pay, domestic schools might exchange and cooperate with other schools in the world in teaching methods. Secondly, not taking into consideration if a country is developing or not, it all depends deeply on the young generation’s job training – citizens shoulder the responsibility for the state and family affairs. Therefore, we again should underline the necessity of long- term investments in education, because that always brings positive results to family, society, country and humanity. When discussing this field, teachers are referred to Vietnamese schools immediately. They not only impart knowledge but also convey a motto to students. However, how to assign teachers logically? Basing on Vietnamese cultural context, Vietnamese representatives teach grammar quite well. They let their students study reading
