Тем не менее, можно проследить тенденцию снижения частоты использования некорректной лексики в отношении женщин, особенно это проявляется в употреблении наименований должностей и профессий в американских газетах и журнальных статьях ( См. [4] Также широко применяются в отношении обоих полов языковые единицы police officer («The number of police officers in England and Wales fell by more than 2,500 last year, the first significant fall for at least six years, figures showed today»; «He was charged with impersonating a police officer and disrupting school activities»; «Just 15 miles north, in Mosul, insurgents routinely kill policemen and attack soldiers and civilians with mortars and car bombs»), firefighter, camera operator («In the 1930s he [Jack Cardiff] moved to Korda’s London Films, where he worked as a camera operator and gained early colour experience on Wings of the Morning (1936), Britain’s first Technicolor feature»), supervisor, mail carrier, shop assistant.
